Quenching Summer Thirst: Making Agua Fresca With Kids

Last week at The Educational Garden Project, we had an absolute blast making Agua Fresca with our enthusiastic campers! The children eagerly took part in every step of the process, from slicing the watermelon to blending and straining the juice. The joy on their faces as they poured the vibrant red liquid into glasses was simply priceless. We’re excited to share this wonderful experience with families and individuals who would like to replicate it at home.

This heartwarming tale showcases the circle of life, the intelligence of crows, and how we turned a moment of sadness into a creative project for our campers.

Self Care

Self Care

As we enter into 2021, the staff at The Educational Garden Project thought it would be fitting to have our first weekly theme of Kid’s Garden Camp be Self Care. Anxiety and uncertainty, loneliness and isolation have become a common theme for most households and so we are providing many ways from which each of us can replenish our souls with simple things we can do for ourselves. We are offering concrete things to encourage a healthier and calmer lifestyle by making teas, bath bombs, bath salts, salves, Oxymels, and hand sanitizer.
